Tsukineko - Questions and Answers

Q: What is Versa-Mark ink?
A: Versa-Mark was originally designed to create a watermark on artwork. It gives a monochromatic effect, leaving the stamped image a shade darker than the paper, no matter what colour the paper is!
Q: What else can Versa-Mark do?
A: Versa-Mark is perfect for attaching chalk, pigment powder, glitter or embossing powder for heat embossing, adding dimension and colour to your work.
Q: Do I have to buy Versa-Mark in the big, black pads?
A: The regular size ink pad of Versa-Mark is very popular, but not the only option.
It is also available in 1” cubes, like Versa-Colour, and, in a double ended pen! Now you can put just a dot of Versa-Mark, anywhere you need one!
Q: What does “resist with Versa-Mark” mean?
A: Versa-Mark makes an excellent resist ink on glossy paper. First, stamp the Versa-Mark image onto the glossy paper. Next, use an Ink Sweeper or Dauber to pick up color from a dye ink pad, such as Kaleidacolor. Spread the dye ink over the stamped image in one direction. Be sure to put a little pressure on the sweeper to transfer the ink to the paper. Repeat the application process to help the Versa-Mark area “pop up from under the ink”.
Q: The Versa-Mark ink pad is white. Is it ruined if it gets stined with colours?
A: Not at all! Versa-Mark, as with any inkpad, is not ruined if the top is stained.
For best results, as with any inkpad, try to use a clean stamp, every time.
