Tsukineko - Questions and Answers

Essential Glue Pad

Accessories - Essential Glue Pad

Q: What are some of the ways the Essential Glue Pad can be used?
A: The possibilities are almost endless, but here are some fun ones we have tried: under ultra fine glitter, flocking, pigment powders, chalk and embossing powder.
Q: I used the Glue Pad on my cardstock, and the flocking didn’t stick. Did I do something wrong?
A: The Glue in the Essential Glue Pad will soak in to porous surfaces like cardstock. When the flocking was applied, there wasn’t enough glue left for the flocking to adhere to. Use the Glue Pad on glossy or sealed paper, like vellum, and the flocking will ‘stick like glue’! (that one was too hard to resist!)
Q: Why is the Glue Pad sold as a “kit”?
A: By packaging with the glue separate from the pad, the Essential Glue Pad will be fresh, more ‘sticky’ when time to use it, rather than storing it loaded before it is needed.
Q: How often does the Glue Pad need to be ‘refreshed’ with more adhesive?
A: This depends on how the pad is stored between uses, how much it is used, and what the conditions are when it is in use and open. The refill bottle is easy to use, and you’ll get better results with a well coated Glue Pad.
Q: Any other suggestions for using the Essential Glue Pad?
A: Consider using the adhesive directly from the refill bottle! Add just a tiny bit to secure flat-backed gems, or light-weight punched flowers, etc. Use a dauber to transfer the glue to the paper to add glitter spots.
